CACAO + CLAY is coming to YEPPOON.
And somehow, before I have even properly shared it here, there are only a couple of spaces remaining.
When I was invited to be one of the global hosts for the Women of Cacao Summit, I knew I wanted to bring a little piece of this global gathering home.
Here. To Yeppoon.
Women gathering all over the world with cacao, while 20 of us gather together in our own little corner of it at the beautiful Rivieera in Cooee Bay.
That alone makes my heart pretty happy.
But then came the clay idea… and I thought, ohhhh YES. 🤎
For the first part of our day, a beautiful local woman will join us and guide us through working with clay.
We'll hear a little about the history of this ancient relationship between humans, Earth and the vessels we've been creating with our hands for thousands of years.
And then we get our hands dirty.
Every woman will create her very own cacao vessel by hand.
Wonky cups are VERY welcome 😂
I can already picture us around the table, hands covered in clay, talking, laughing and probably wondering how something that looked so good in our head became… whatever is sitting in front of us.
Your vessel will then be professionally fired and returned to you to keep.
And I just LOVE the thought that long after this day is over, you'll be able to make your cacao at home and drink it from something your own hands made from the Earth.
After our clay morning, we'll move into ceremonial cacao, meditation, gentle breath, connection and a beautiful light lunch together.
A whole day to slow down and enjoy being together.
