Let’s gather around the ancient wisdom of the fire, as we journey with cacao, rhythm, prayer, and transformation.
🪘Floyd Joynes from Symphonic Harmonics will be guiding us into the gathering with a powerful yet gentle cacao ceremony. We will set intentions, explore drumming techniques, traditional rhythms, and free-flowing expression.
🍫For thousands of years, cacao has been revered by Indigenous cultures of Central and South America as a sacred plant medicine. Known as the “Food of the Gods,” cacao was used in ceremonies to connect with spirit, open the heart, and bring communities together in prayer, celebration, and healing.
Ceremonial cacao is pure, minimally processed, and prepared with reverence. It contains powerful compounds such as theobromine and magnesium, which gently energize the body, relax the nervous system, and lift the mood. Spiritually, cacao is seen as a heart medicine—helping us soften into vulnerability, deepen self-awareness, and connect more authentically with ourselves and others. Cacao combined with drumming will create a powerful synergistic effect on the mind/body/spirit.

⚠️ Contraindications (Please Read)
Cacao is safe for most people, but because it is a natural stimulant and increases blood flow and serotonin levels, please note:
SSRIs/Antidepressants: Cacao may interact with these medications. If you are currently taking SSRIs, we recommend either skipping cacao or taking only a very small microdose (1–2 teaspoons). Tea will be available to those who choose not to have cacao.
Heart Conditions / High Blood Pressure: Cacao contains theobromine, which can increase heart rate. Please consult with your doctor before attending or opt for a lighter dose.
Pregnant or Breastfeeding: Many mothers enjoy cacao safely, but a smaller serving is recommended.
Stimulant Sensitivity: If you are sensitive to caffeine or chocolate, start with a small dose.
Meet Your Facilitator, Floyd Joynes:
Floyd Joynes is a Music Producer, Multi-Instrumentalist, Certified Sound Healer, and Reiki Master teacher known for weaving ambient textures, native flutes, world percussion, and healing vibrations into immersive, soul-centered experiences. His music transcends genre, blending the physical with the spiritual to create soundscapes that inspire reflection, transformation, and renewal. Through sound healing immersions, drum circles, and ceremonial events, Floyd expands his work to create experiences that cultivate community, spirit and personal growth.Floyd’s debut album Kaleido Dreams (2023) introduced listeners to his unique blend of medicine music and cinematic soundscapes. His upcoming second album, Fractal Memoirs (releasing September 19, 2025), reflects his own journey through transformation, closure, and renewal, offering listeners a fractal mirror of the soul’s path. In addition, he shares long-format meditation music through his YouTube channel, Symphonic Harmonics, connecting with listeners around the world.
