Close Contact Prime, LLC offers a 6-hour Defensive Tactics, Control Tactics Instructor Workshop at Impact Jiu Jitsu Sherwood. This course will refine your lesson plans for teaching defensive tactics at your home agency. Open to all law enforcement personnel, regardless of instructorship.

This course is a blend of C4C PJJ and ShivWorks concepts taught by authorized instructors from these two organizations.

Topics covered in this coursework:

C4C PJJ
• 4 Foundational Principles of C4C/PJJ.
• 3 Sub-Concepts of Physical Control.
• Takedowns from a barrier (wall or other objects) in a law enforcement environment to gain control.
• From the ground, reversing positions and controlling threats in a law enforcement environment.
• C4C/PJJ pressure testing.

Shivworks

• Introduction to drawing a gun in close quarters; building the #2 position (retention
  shooting position).
  
• Firing throughout the horizontal line of presentation. Extension or compression is
  based on the proximity of the threat.
  
• Grappling with weapons in a vertical and horizontal plane (ground and standing).
  Limb control and working to find positional dominance before weapons are
  introduced.
  
• Theory of the Timing Rule “in-fight weapon access” in a standing or grounded
  entanglement (IFWA).
  
• IFWA pressure testing evolution. In this competitive evolution, we will validate the
  training with a drill using Marking Cartridges, training knives, and realistic pressure.
