C-Card Under 16s - How to join up 13-15 year olds - A face to face course

This is a free face to face training course delivered by iCaSH Outreach Training for all practitioners promoting sexual health in Bedfordshire, Milton Keynes and Norfolk.

Aim:

To provide an overview of C-Card Scheme processes to ensure that young people aged 13-15 are safeguarded when they join to get a C-Card U16 and learn how to use their card to access free condoms.

Outcomes:

By the end of the session you will

• Know the difference between, and have a working knowledge of how the C Card scheme operates in C-Card Lite Points and C-Card Lite Points

• Understand the rationale behind the C-Card scheme, order stock and return data recording your C-Card activities

• Be able to join a young person 13-15 yrs to the scheme and feel confident about using the opportunity to talk about sex and relationships

• Apply the Fraser guidelines effectively

• Be able to signpost young people to sexual health services, including places to use their C-Cards

• Confidently demonstrate the correct use of condoms

• Signpost to local iCaSH clinics and services
