Báyò Akómoláfé is a Nigerian- born philosopher, psychologist, and author of These Wilds Beyond Our Fences — a book that draws on Yoruba cosmology, postcolonial thought, quantum physics, and radical ecology to invite a slower, more entangled
way of thinking about crisis, identity, and what it means to be human.
He is the founder of The Emergence Network and the architect of the We Will Dance with Mountains course, which has drawn tens of thousands of participants worldwide. He has been Visiting Professor at Middlebury College and taught at Schumacher College, Simon Fraser University, and Pacifica Graduate Institute.
His provocation, “the times are urgent; let us slow down” captures an approach that is as disorienting as it is luminous. His most recent book, Selah: A Báyò Akómoláfé Reader was released in March of this year.
