Please read this entire message. Tracie Harmon is teaching this class which follows the Byannie trunk show at Erin Matthew Sewing July 20 - Aug 3rd. The first class (Aug 5) is mandatory for this project. Additional days are August 6, 7, 8 and 9. Tracie has made these additional days available for students who will request additional days to finish this project. EACH day instruction is $30.
There is required pre-work that must be done prior to the first class including quilting pattern pieces. Directions for this are provided in the written pattern instructions. Tracie is also available for quilting services PRIOR to class.
Erin Matthew Sewing will have “hardware kits” for purchase, you MUST let her know if you’d like one made up for you. It will contain the Pattern, Metal hooks/clips, Acrylic Insert, Soft N Stable. It can be customized to include zippers if you let her know what color and size.
You will need to bring your sewing machine and all necessary tools. Please make sure you have a supply of denim needles on hand, we will be stitching through several layers of fabric and foam. You need to match your thread color to your zipper color to maximize the finished appearance.
A By Annie Stiletto and the Double-sided Basting tape to be a great facilitator in precise zipper placement and binding attachment. Annie doesn’t recommend pressing or starching the binding that goes around the outside of the bag.
