By Water, Stone and Iron - Open Mic Night at Thundercliffe Grange
About this Event
By kind invitation of Jeremy Blundell, Story Forge teller and co-founder of Thundercliffe Grange community, our 18th of August Open Mic Night will be held at Thundercliffe Grange.
Our theme is place: water, in the springs and brook, the quarry for stone, and the iron, which can still be seen in the stones of Thundercliffe Grange itself; Jeremy, our host, will be giving us an introduction to the history of the land, and the reasons for its settlement. You are invited to bring your own stories on such themes, or simply reference them in your telling. Scary rabbit stories are also welcome... we haven't heard any of those in a while!
We will be outside for the first half. Wear stout shoes, bring rugs, portable chairs and your own water bottle. Refreshments will be provided.
We meet from 7.00 p.m. and start telling stories from 7.30pm.
Suggested donation £5. You can book your ticket now but we also expect to have plenty of tickets on the door.
Listeners and Tellers, all welcome.
