Join us for our October meeting at Third Street Alliance for Women & Children in Easton! Our annual meeting held during Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
In recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, Alisa Baratta, Executive Director of Third Street Alliance will host the Lehigh Valley Chapter of BWNICE on Tuesday October 14 at 8am at Third Street Alliance.
Her talk: “Trapped between Violence and Homelessness” will examine the intersection with domestic violence and homelessness in the Lehigh Valley. She will discuss:
~ Socio-economic factors that contribute to the increase domestic violence-related homelessness
~ Barriers families face in obtaining assistance
~ The long-term impact of DV on women and their children
She also will provide insights into strategies that Third Street Alliance uses to assist women and children who find themselves trapped in dangerous and traumatic situation of domestic violence related homelessness.
Registration opens at 8:00 am, the meeting will begin at 8:30 am.
