About this Event
Pollinators support 1 in every 3 bites of food we eat — supporting them strengthens our food system and communities. Come learn how you can foster pollinator sanctuaries in your own backyard in this interactive workshop. We’ll cover the 4 steps of habitat creation, engage in group discussions, answer site-specific questions, and even visit an established habitat to see a boots-on-the-ground example of what a thriving habitat looks like.
Alyson has a background in wildlife biology and experience supporting landowners in establishing pollinator habitat. Her favorite projects are urban habitats that invoke creativity and provide refuge for pollinators and other wildlife where there otherwise wouldn’t be. Alyson’s approach blends scientific knowledge and deep reverence for the natural world to create an experience that is accessible and meaningful for all.
