For BUZZART24, the KZNSA embraces connectedness and solidarity.
We are more together.
Bringing creative ideas to life can be a solitary exercise but at some point, people want to share what they’ve made with the world. Through SISONKE we offer a platform where creatives feel comfortable enough to be vulnerable, and share their creations within a network of fellow creators and enthusiasts who value their work. There is no idea that is better than the other, no medium more important than the other – we are all in this together.
The KZNSA invites artists, designers, artisans and makers to interpret this spirit of togetherness through their work.
MEMBERS’ GROUP SHOW | SISONKE
We invite Members to submit artworks for a group exhibition running adjacent to BUZZART
15 November 2024 - 12 January 2025
This year we will cater to new and budget collectors, inviting work that sells in categories of R 5,000 and less, and between R 5,000 - R 10,000. Works may be in any medium, any date, and members can submit as many works as they wish during the course of BUZZART. There is a size limit of 1m in any dimension. Please note that the KZNSA Gallery will not be able to consign work that is dirty, broken, does not have hanging fixtures or expresses discrimination.

SISONKE runs from 15 November 2024 – 12 January 2025
Opening night: Friday 15 November 2024
Deliveries: 5-10 November. Top-up deliveries are welcome throughout the exhibition but work for the opening must be delivered to the gallery by 10 November.
CALL OUT FOR SUPPLIERS FOR KZNSA BUZZART24
BUZZART is KZNSA’s annual Christmas Fair, where the KZNSA shop takes over the entire gallery, filling the Main, Mezzanine and Park Galleries with incredible local finds. BUZZART carries art, homeware, textiles, fashion and accessories, jewellery, local art books, stationery and cosmetics, plus a huge range of Christmas decor and stocking fillers - all produced in KZN or Southern Africa by independent makers.
As our focus is on growing the local economy, and providing income opportunities to local creatives, we are inviting new makers and artists to submit their work, offering a free 9-week retail platform to get product to market. We are looking for interesting, unusual, innovative locally designed and manufactured products, ranges or art pieces. Work does not have to fit the theme. Please deliver your stock to the KZNSA along with a delivery note between 5-10 November 2024.
