Welcome to another Buy Nothing Project group gifting day!The purpose of this group gifting day is to allow us to clean out our houses of stuff we don't use anymore, have an opportunity to receive things that we DO have a use for, and to socialize in person with all of our wonderful neighbors. This event is open to anyone and everyone that would like to join in. As always with the Buy Nothing Project, there is no buying, no selling, and no trading! We are all here to give from our own abundance, and to share our gratitude with this fantastic community.
Feel free to bring anything that you would ordinarily post in the Buy Nothing group - or just gift us with your lovely company! Once you arrive, we will have you sort the items you are gifting into general categories (things like kitchen, clothing, pets etc.). I will make a few attempts to get you to eat the treats I will have out, then you can feel free to hang out, go through the items being gifted, pet my super cute dog Winnie, or head back home. At the end of the day, anything that is left will be donated (if possible) or recycled/disposed of.
If you are planning on bringing something to gift, please try to arrive from 10:00-10:30 am so we can help organize the items and give folks lots of opportunity to go through everything! You are welcome to bring furniture to gift this time around as well (I will have a few furniture items myself!).
You can take home with you as much or as little as you would like! Please do not feel shy about anything, we would all rather see something going to a neighbor that might get some use from it rather than going to a landfill. There will be some empty bags and boxes here as well to help you carry home your new treasures!
