Christmas is right around the corner and so is the Buy Nothing Toy Store! Please help us in making this another huge success. Tell your family/friends! This is a great way to include your family in decluttering and regifting items that are no longer getting used.Donation days will be Thursday December 12 (8am – 6pm) and Friday December 13 (8am – 4pm) at the St. Anthony Community Center (3301 Silver Lake Rd). There will be large boxes in the atrium where you can place the toys. There will also be volunteers that can help you unload your vehicle if you need. The actual Toy Store will run on December 14th (8am-12). If you have toys to donate but you are unable to donate on those specific days, please reach out to me and we can make something work.
The gym will be open from 9:30 to 12 for you to stay and play after you "shop". We also would love paper bag donations for people to use (even better if you bring your own bag when you come to shop).
- PLEASE NO STUFFED ANIMALS or McDonald’s toys.
-Things that are accepted:
-Puzzles: stacking puzzles, balance puzzles, wooden puzzles,
floor puzzles
-Sensory toys: fidgets, cookie cutters and dough accessories,
water tables, sand tables
-Building toys: duplos, legos, knock-off duplos/legos,
building sets, kinex, Lincoln logs
-Sandbox toys: shovels, buckets, sifters, etc.
-Role-play toys: dolls, figurines, Little People, action figures,
kid kitchenwares, doctor toys
-Automobile toys: hotwheels, trucks, construction vehicles
-Games: Twister, Break the Ice, matching games, kid-friendly
card games
-Books: Board books, story books (must be in good
condition)
-Gross Motor Toys: tricyles, Striders, wagons
-Toys must meet the following standards:
-Toys must be fully cleaned and in good condition – ask
yourself: Would someone else need to clean or repair this?
Would your child be excited to receive it?
-Multi-part toys, such as puzzles or games, must have all the
pieces
-Electronic toys must be fully functional, WITH batteries
--For the sake of cleanliness and organization, the following
items will NOT be accepted:
-Stuffed animals
-Fabric dress-up items and costumes (exceptions for cleaned
costumes in original packaging)
-Clothing
-McDonalds trinket toys
