Dokumentární film o Butthole Surfers, americké psych-rockové kapele, která vznikla v roce 1981 v San Antoniu v Texasu. Jejich šokující živá vystoupení byla stejně proslulá jako jejich hudba. Chaotická a narkotická živá vystoupení probíhala před promítacím plátnem, na němž běžely surové 16mm filmové sekvence znázorňující záběry lékařských pitev a další bizarnosti i morbidnosti. Frontman Gibby Haynes navíc pobíhal po pódiu, střílel z brokovnice slepými náboji, k zpěvu používal megafon a často zapaloval činely a další nástroje. Jedinečným způsobem spojovali extrémní punk s popovými tendencemi a v roce 1996 překvapivě dosáhli prvního místa v hitparádě Billboard s písní Pepper.

A documentary film about Butthole Surfers, the American psych-rock band formed in 1981 in San Antonio, Texas. Their shocking live performances were just as famous as their music. Their chaotic, drug-fuelled live shows took place in front of a projection screen showing raw 16mm film footage of medical autopsies and other bizarre and morbid scenes. Frontman Gibby Haynes would run around the stage, fire a shotgun loaded with blanks, use a megaphone to sing, and often set cymbals and other instruments on fire. They uniquely blended extreme punk with elements of pop, and in 1996 they surprisingly reached number one on the Billboard charts with the song “Pepper”.
