Pražský post-rock, moravský drone folk a košické screamo. Třetí ze série letních koncertů MeetFactory v úterý 14. července na dvorku za smíchovskou továrnou uvede trojici hudebních projektů C-Pentane, Brána a itlookssinister.
C-Pentane je pražská kapela, která svým monumentálním zvukem na pomezí post-folku a post-rocku propojuje křehkost s naléhavostí. V sestavě kytary, bicích, violoncella a houslí vytváří kompozice plné naděje, napětí i touhy. Své debutové EP, které vyjde na kladenském kazetovém labelu Věžáky Records, pokřtí na dvorku MeetFactory. Drone-folkové duo Brána s moravskými kořeny, které v nekonečných hlubinách hypnotické repetice s jemnými odkazy na folklórní motivy vykresluje krásu, hrůzu i podivné umění čekání a poprvé představí nový materiál. „Sejde to ze mě, a pak sejdu já.“

Jediná současná československá emo kapela, jejíž věkový průměr členů nepřesahuje dvacet let, se poprvé představí pražskému publiku. itlookssinister je košický screamo kvintet, který za krátkou dobu svého působení stihl vydat výraznou debutovou nahrávku, jež strhla pozornost nejen na československé scéně, ale i v Asii. Svým soudobým přístupem k syrovým devadesátkovým screamo strukturám spolu se srdcervoucími texty jasně dokazuje, že „tohle není jen další bezvýznamný fanklub Orchid.“

Post-rock, drone folk, screamo. The third in the series of MeetFactory’s summer concerts will present three emerging projects – C-Pentane, Brána, and itlookssinister – at the Factory’s backyard outdoor stage on Tuesday, July 14.
C-Pentane is a Prague-based band whose monumental sound oscillates between post-folk and post-rock, blending fragility with urgency. With a lineup of guitar, drums, cello, and violin, they create compositions filled with hope, tension, and longing. Their debut EP, released on the Kladno cassette tape label Věžáky Records, will be launched as part of this show at MeetFactory. Not only for fans of midwest emo, caroline, or Black Country, New Road.

Brána, a drone-folk duo with Moravian roots, dives into the endless depths of hypnotic repetition, with subtle references to folk motifs. They paint a picture of beauty, horror, and the strange art of waiting – and will present new material for the very first time. “Everything falls off me, and then I fall too.”

The only current Czech-Slovak emo band whose members’ average age doesn’t exceed twenty, make their debut appearance for the Prague audience. itlookssinister is a fresh Košice-based screamo quintet that released a striking debut record which caught attention not only on the Czech-Slovak scene but also in Asia. A more modern and technical approach to raw 90s screamo structures, combined with heart-wrenching lyrics, clearly proves that “this is not just another ordinary Orchid fan club.“
