Butterfly Walk on the Botanical Garden - Berlin

Discover and learn about butterflies at the Botanical Garden Berlin! 🦋
As part of the “Butterflies’ Garden” project, join us for a guided walk through the Botanical Garden to observe and identify butterflies and other insects, and learn about the plants they depend on.
We’ll explore nectar plants and host plants, and visit a butterfly monitoring transect that is part of Tagfalter-Monitoring Deutschland, one of around 600 monitoring transects across Germany.
We’ll also introduce the VielFalterGarten app and learn how butterflies are monitored and recorded through citizen science.
The walk will be guided by Eberhard, together with a student who will join us as a guide.
No previous knowledge is required!
🎟️ Entrance to the Botanical Garden is included and covered by the Butterflies’ Garden project, so you can stay and enjoy the garden for the rest of the day after the walk.
As places are limited and the project covers the entrance fee, we kindly ask you to register only if you can attend. If you can no longer make it, please cancel your ticket or let us know as soon as possible so someone else can take your place.
Bring: comfortable clothes and shoes, a hat or cap, water, and sunscreen.

Please meet us at the entrance at Königin-Luise-Platz at 10:50 AM, so we can enter together and start the guided walk at 11:00 AM.
