Butterfly walk
About this Event
We'll be taking a slow butterfly walk around the reserve, spending time at their hotspots, exploring the different habitats where they can be found and what we can do to help butterflies in our gardens.
More than twenty species of butterfly have been recorded here and we'll be looking for species that can be seen in July, including marbled whites (pictured) gatekeepers, meadow browns and common blues. We will have ID guides, butterfly books for the walk and will share the latest news from our weekly butterfly surveys that volunteers started in April.
We'll be meeting at the on Charlcombe Way - the number 6 bus stops at Richmond Heights on Solsbury Way, bikes can be locked up at the entrance and there is parking along Solsbury Way. Please let us know if you need any support with access. No dogs please.
