This presentation will provide attendees with the information they need to attract butterflies to their yards including their habitat and native plants that provide their food.
Everyone loves to watch butterflies fly from flower to flower. Florida has many species of butterflies that you can attract to your yard with the plants that provide nectar for the adults and food for their larvae. This presentation will provide attendees with the information they need to attract butterflies to their yards. This will include creating a butterfly habitat and plants that provide their food. There will be a particular emphasis on native plants, which provide the natural food that attract Florida butterflies. Also, the presentation will include information on which milkweeds to plant to attract Monarchs.
