Butterflies & Board Games at The Merc
About this Event
Bring the whole family for an afternoon of board games and real butterfly science at The Merc.
Pick from a curated library of family games, with a Game Guide on hand to teach any of them, and explore a hands-on butterfly field station led by Lucy, a PhD entomologist and Lepidopterist Lead for "Butterflies in the Garden" at the Fort Worth Botanic Garden. Look at real specimens under the microscope, ask a scientist your bug questions, and catch one of Lucy's two short talks during the afternoon.
One ticket covers everything: the game library, the science station, and both talks. No assigned seats or time slots; come and go as you like. Walk-ups welcome while space allows ($12 per person or $35 for a family of four at the door).
Kids 3 and under are free. Lunch available from The Merc.
Every specimen at this pop-up is preserved. There are no live butterflies at this event.
