Buti® is a somatic movement practice that seamlessly fuses functional movement with cardio dance and multidimensional strength training. This practice challenges the body across all planes of motion while engaging all of the senses in a sweat dripping, beat driven journey like no other. With over 7,000 instructors trained and certified in over 83 countries, Buti® has been one of the fastest growing fitness certifications in recent history. This movement style is intuitive, creative and includes unique movement patterns that help the body avoid plateaus physically and emotionally. If you’re passionate about helping others feel at home in their body through movement, emotional integration and community - Buti® is the path for you. Certification is a life-changing experience. You’ll work hard, push yourself through physical and emotional barriers and connect with other students who will become lifelong friends. Training days run approximately 12 hours depending on the group size. You will be expected to know asana form and alignments on the first day of training. In-person training hours will be focused on movement anatomy, sequencing and demonstration. The second day of training will begin with a group exercise to shake off pre-performance jitters before we move into our demo and feedback portion. Every trainee will be required to do a class demonstration following the specific guidelines and rubric presented in training. These demonstrations range from 8-10 minutes depending on the size of the group.
Come prepared to work hard. Bring hydration and snacks to keep your energy up. Also, be sure to bring a device where you can download and make playlists. Buti® is a beat-driven practice and for that reason significant time is spent breaking down beat patterns, musical styles and their application to movement types. Bring your own yoga mat as some studios do not offer mat rentals. We do suggest bringing multiple changes of clothes as you will likely look like you went for a swim after the first Master Class. Be ready to be open, connect with your fellow teacher trainees and embark on a new phase of your journey that will most certainly change the rest of your life. Welcome HOME. You belong here.
