The Park Ridge Cycling Club is hosting a family-friendly event to celebrate the completion of the Busse Road Project. Please join us on Saturday, October 11, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. near Wheel and Sprocket, located at 672 N. Northwest Highway.
The first hour will feature a guided family ride on Busse Road, emphasizing the importance of using the new bike lane as part of our celebration. After the ride, we will gather near Wheel and Sprocket for food, speeches, a raffle drawing, and festivities.
We would also like to acknowledge the recent ribbon-cutting ceremony, sponsored by the City, which took place last week. Several club members attended, and the event was absolutely joyful. It's proof that the community was eager for the bike lanes! Thank you to the City for organizing it.
The Park Ridge Cycling Club received a small but meaningful grant from the Active Transit Alliance. Thanks to them, our friends at Wheel and Sprocket and our sponsors, the club is able to host a celebration. Our goal is to emphasize the Busse Road Project and encourage the community to utilize the designated lanes.
