About this Event

Business Workflow Optimization Lab 2026

Join us on September 9, 2026 at 9:00 AM (Pacific Time) at 95 3rd St for an in-person event focused on building smarter processes and eliminating operational friction. This session is designed to help you create systems that support sustainable business performance.

Business Workflow Optimization Lab 2026 is an intensive, hands-on one-day workshop designed for business leaders, managers, operators, and professionals responsible for improving how organizations work.

During the workshop, participants will examine real business processes, identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies, redesign workflows, establish meaningful performance metrics, evaluate opportunities for automation and AI, and translate improvements into measurable business impact.

Rather than focusing only on theory, the workshop moves from analysis to implementation within a focused one-day format.

Participants will leave with practical frameworks, reusable tools, and a 30–60–90 Day Process Improvement Blueprint that can be adapted to their own organization.

No named host or featured speaker is required. Sessions are structured around workshop materials, guided exercises, practical frameworks, case scenarios, and implementation activities.

To support a full-day learning and networking experience, the registration fee includes morning coffee, a catered lunch during the 12:00 PM–1:00 PM break, and an afternoon tea break. Participants do not need to arrange their own lunch or scheduled refreshments.

What You'll Work On

Process Mapping & Diagnosis

Map current workflows from beginning to end and identify:

  • Bottlenecks
  • Repetitive tasks
  • Unnecessary handoffs
  • Delays
  • Process gaps
  • Operational waste
  • Areas creating unnecessary cost
  • Customer & Systems Thinking

Examine processes as interconnected systems rather than isolated tasks.

Participants will consider how operational decisions influence customer experience, employee productivity, service quality, and overall business performance.

Workflow Optimization

Transform current-state processes into streamlined future-state workflows.

Explore ways to:

  • Simplify processes
  • Reduce unnecessary steps
  • Improve handoffs
  • Clarify responsibilities
  • Reduce cycle times
  • Improve consistency
  • KPIs & Performance Measurement

Determine which metrics actually indicate whether a process is working.

Explore:

  • Operational KPIs
  • Efficiency metrics
  • Quality measures
  • Financial indicators
  • Performance dashboards
  • Automation, AI & Technology

Identify repetitive or rules-based activities that may benefit from technology.

Participants will evaluate opportunities involving:

  1. Workflow automation
  2. AI-assisted processes
  3. Digital tools
  4. System integrations
  5. Manual task reduction

The emphasis is on determining where technology creates meaningful business value, rather than automating simply because technology is available.

Risk & Compliance

Identify potential failure points before redesigned processes are implemented.

Consider:

  • Operational risks
  • Control gaps
  • Process dependencies
  • Compliance requirements
  • Business continuity
  • Quality controls
  • Financial Impact Modeling

Connect operational improvements to measurable business outcomes.

Participants will examine:

  • Cost savings
  • Productivity gains
  • Resource utilization
  • Potential ROI
  • Cash-flow implications
  • Financial impact of process changes
  • Future-State Process Design

Build a redesigned version of the selected workflow and test it through practical scenarios.

Participants will compare:

Current State → Proposed State → Expected Business Impact

Governance & Ownership

Define who owns each part of the improved process.

Use practical responsibility frameworks to establish:

  • Process ownership
  • Accountability
  • Decision rights
  • Stakeholder responsibilities
  • Escalation paths
  • 30–60–90 Day Implementation Blueprint

The workshop concludes by turning the proposed improvements into an actionable implementation roadmap.

Participants will define:

  1. First 30 Days: Immediate priorities and quick wins
  2. Days 31–60: Process rollout, testing, measurement, and refinement
  3. Days 61–90: Scaling, governance, performance review, and continuous improvement
