This session will feature respected local law enforcement leaders sharing real-world guidance:
Chief Matt Kaluzny (City of Utica) will discuss proactive strategies to help business owners protect themselves, their employees, and their customers. As well as first amendment auditor training.
Sargent Daniel Zaliwski from Macomb County Sheriff’s office will walk through active shooter preparedness for small businesses, including response planning and protective measures.
Deputy Chief Ken Pappas will focus on de-escalation training and techniques to help prevent workplace incidents from escalating.
Attendees will leave with practical safety strategies, increased awareness, and greater confidence in handling difficult situations.
