Business Development is more than networking
About this Event
Business Development is more than networking
Many firms struggle to get their lawyers engaged in business development. The reality is many are relying on the minority to bring in work.
This is risky and means a lot of opportunity is missed.
Time is a big factor, but many lawyers think networking awkwardly at events is business development. Networking can be valuable, but there are many other options.
This dynamic and engaging event hosted by Philip Lewis and Joanna Gaudoin will look at how firms can grow with a structured and skilled approach to business development.
Joanna Gaudoin will look briefly at why having the majority of your client-facing people engaged in business development is key and how to approach this.
There will then be a discussion panel with lawyers who have carved out their successful way to bring in more work in different ways, to demonstrate that business development is more than networking.
This event is for senior lawyers - Managing Partners, Partners & Senior Associates who not only want to grow their own practice but grow their firm.
Firms who do this are more likely to survive the fast-moving changes in the sector. Whether to grow and be a strong stand-alone firm or to grow to be attractive for acquisition or merging/acquiring others, implementing proactive business development is an essential focus.
This event is hosted by Philip Lewis and Joanna Gaudoin, with thanks to Barclays Moorgate for loaning us their event space and Impact It for sponsoring the drinks and canapés.
