About this Event

Invitation to Business Continuity, Security and Privacy Workshop for Museums

Meet your peers, share ideas and learn new ways to protect your institution.

We are pleased to invite you to participate in our exclusive Security, Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and Privacy Workshop designed specifically for museums, hosted by Rogers Business, Edgeworx and Crestview Strategy. Hosted at the Aga Khan Museum, hear from Lisa Pottie, Chief Operating Officer about the McMichael Canadian Art Collection’s journey to protecting their collection. Michelle Chibba, former Director of Policy for the Ontario Information and Privacy Commissioner and current Instructor at Metropolitan Toronto University will also discuss the ever-evolving regulatory environment around personal information and privacy.

Many places don’t have multi-million-dollar budgets and staff to dedicate full time to risk management, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t basic tools and processes available. How you identify the risks, prepare for them and respond in a credible way could mean the difference between a hiccup or a near-death experience for your institution.

Workshop Details:

Date: Tuesday December 3rd, 2024

Time: 8:45am to 3:30pm

Venue: Aga Khan Museum, 77 Wynford Dr, North York, ON, M3C 1k1

Why Attend?

Museums face unique challenges that require specialized planning to ensure they can quickly respond to and recover from emergencies. This workshop provides an opportunity to hear from industry experts why a robust BCP tailored to your institution's needs is critical.

Who Should Attend?

This workshop is ideal for museum directors, operations managers, and anyone involved in risk management or disaster recovery planning within a museum context. If you believe that someone else should attend this workshop please let us know and provide their contact information.

Registration: To confirm your attendance, please register by November 22. Spaces are limited, so we encourage early registration. Cost is $75 per registered attendee. We look forward to your participation in this essential workshop for enhancing the resilience and safety of our museum community.

By participating in this event you are also giving back to a fellow Museum. All proceeds from this event will go to the Aga Khan Museum.
