About this Event

Twelve months ago, nature was emerging as a material issue for business. Today, it's arriving on balance sheets. The first wave of CSRD reporting is underway, TNFD adoption has accelerated, and companies with validated Science Based Targets for Nature are moving from commitment to delivery.

But for most sustainability teams, the external landscape isn't the hard part. The hard part is internal - getting finance, risk, and operations to move at the same pace. The frameworks exist. The science is clear. The challenge now is making the case inside your own business to people who don't sit in sustainability.

Join Environment Bank, Barclays, Suntory and other businesses for a high-level breakfast discussion during London Climate Action Week. We'll hear from corporate leaders who are already investing in nature - not just on what they're doing, but on how they got their organisations to back it. Which arguments landed. What questions they faced from CFOs and risk committees. And what they'd do differently.

Speakers:

  • Barclays
  • Environment Bank
  • Suntory
  • Other leading businesses

Panellists will share their insights and experiences on:

  • What early nature-related disclosures are revealing about corporate readiness – and where the internal gaps are
  • Why the business case for nature needs to speak to finance and risk, not just sustainability - and what that language looks like
  • Which arguments are actually working when it comes to securing internal investment - and which ones aren't
  • How early movers are structuring nature investment as resilience spend, not CSR - and why that framing matters
  • The questions your CFO and risk committee will ask, and how to be ready for them

This breakfast event is no-cost and aimed at senior-level business leaders. While it is open to all interested in nature alignment for businesses, we may need to decline registrations from those outside these parameters if capacity is reached.

Please arrive from 08:30 for security check-in and a light breakfast. The panel discussion and Q&A will run between 09:30 and 11:00 and will commence with networking over a light early lunch.
