About this Event

The Business Support Service at Liverpool City Council are delighted to offer this fully-funded workshop delivered by our specialist growth advisors and hosted by business support experts Ian Dixon & Howard Fleming on 24th February at Clockwise Liverpool.

Purpose:
To equip local creative agencies & professional services firms with the tools, frameworks and expert guidance needed to plan strategically, manage people effectively and improve operational performance. Participants will learn about:

Developing a clearer strategic direction
Stronger HR practices that support growth
Practical methods to improve productivity and reduce waste
Actionable next steps tailored to their business

Planning: Mark Butchard from Mark Butchard Business Solutions Ltd will lead on the Strategic Business Planning advice. Mark brings a structured yet flexible approach to strategic planning, helping businesses articulate where they’re going and how they’ll get there.

People: Peter Waller‑Flynn from Privilege HR Liverpool Ltd will talk about Human Resources. Peter helps businesses build strong, compliant and people‑focused workplaces that support performance and wellbeing.

Productivity: Jaan Scott from Matchbox Associates Ltd will explore elements of Lean & Process Improvement. Jaan specialises in helping businesses “Work Smarter, Not Harder” by improving processes, reducing waste and boosting productivity.

Who should attend:
This fully-funded workshop is for established Liverpool-based businesses, primarily those who have not already accessed LCC’s UKSPF funded business growth support. We’d welcome applications from a wide range of entrepreneurs from creative agencies and professional services firms. Places are limited and will be allocated accordingly.
