Session Focus
This Business at the Table session will provide valuable guidance on:
- Finding grant opportunities that fit your business
- Writing strong, competitive grant applications
- Preparing your business to be funding-ready
- Understanding how grants are evaluated
- Developing strategies to increase your chances of success

April Kelly: Grant Recipient | Pitch Competition Winner | Business Owner
April Kelly brings firsthand experience navigating the grant process from the applicant’s perspective. As a successful grant recipient and pitch competition winner, April understands what it takes to stand out in competitive funding environments.
During this session, April will share practical insights on identifying the right grant opportunities, crafting compelling applications, and presenting your business effectively. She will also discuss lessons learned from her own journey - what worked, what didn’t, and strategies that helped her secure funding.
