Business & Brews is a casual networking happy hour for community-engaged professionals from all walks of life in the Charleston / Lowcountry SC area. Each gathering has a 10-15 minute presentation by a local community leader, and the speaker typically takes Q&A from attendees afterwards. B&B is typically free to attend and open to the public. Our monthly speakers leave the PowerPoints and structured speeches behind and tell their stories in a laidback and fun atmosphere. So let your hair down, take that tie off, roll up your sleeves, grab a cold one and mingle with like-minded professionals who want to rub elbows with people who care about their community and the folks who make it a great place to live.
Past Special Guest Speakers include Lt. Gov. Pamela Evette, Charleston Mayor William Cogswell, Mount Pleasant Mayor Will Haynie, SC State House Rep Mark Smith, Congressional Candidate Duke Buckner, SC Ports Authority CEO Barbara Melvin, Clemson Athletic Directors Graham Neff & Dan Radakovich, South Carolina Athletic Director Ray Tanner, CofC Athletic Director Matt Roberts, Riverdogs Team President Dave Echols, SC Film Commissioner Matt Storm, U.S. Cannabis Council Executive Director Ed Conklin, Charleston WaterKeeper Executive Director Andrew Wunderley, North Charleston Tourism Director Amy Heath, SEWE President & CEO John Powell and more.
