Really happy to welcome Bushman’s Revenge with Red Kite guitar player Even Helte Hermansen at Sojo! The band had to cancel their gig in 2019 due to broken bones, but are now more than ready to give you another slice of that Norwegian brand of electrifying heavy jazz rock! “De voorbije tien jaar is Bushman’s Revenge, samen met onder meer Elephant9 en het Hedvig Mollestad Trio, uitgegroeid tot een van de belangrijkste Noorse spelers op de wip tussen instrumentale rock-‘n-roll en broeierige jazz. Wat begon als een eerder jazzgericht project, groeide in de loop der jaren uit tot een koers die hen voerde langs donderende riffrock, complexe prog-uitspattingen en gierende jazzrock. The Bad Slaves is a four-piece inspired by the great rockbands of the 60’s and 70’s. Their songs blend heavy riffs with gentle and sometimes psychedelic wanderings. Not full on stoner, heavy blues, garage or hardrock, but a bit of all of that.
