About this Event
Join wildlife enthusiasts for this exploration of the Claverton and Bathampton Down area.
The route takes us through Bushey Norwood before heading up to the golf course before heading towards Sham Castle and the University, pausing to look at Quarry Road nature habitat below the high grass bank before heading into campus and towards the University pond to look at wildlife there, in particular invertebrates.
The walk is reasonably flat, but fairly uneven underground in places. We recommend long trousers and for you to bring snacks and drinks.
Please bring binoculars, magnifying glass if you have them. Close focus binoculars will be demonstrated.
Sorry, this walk is not suitable for dogs, other than assistance dogs.
Meeting point and finish point: Bus stop on the Avenue

The walk leaders are Lucy and Alvan from Bath Natural History Society
