Busheikin/Villette Present: Tony Genge Trio

Busheikin/Villette are proud to present one of the pillars of the Vancouver Island jazz scene, Dr. Tony Genge. This will be an intimate piano trio concert featuring Genge's own arrangements of standard jazz repertoire alongside some original music. Genge's cool and swinging style references the great jazz piano tradition of pianists such as Ahmad Jamal, Red Garland, Horace Silver and Wynton Kelly. Many of the young musicians from the Island have drawn inspiration from Genge and this concert as a great opportunity to hear music from the source.
