The newly merged club from Elstree and Borehamwood is proud to host its first event since the clubs merged in December 2024.The Burns Night celebration, organised with funding from Herts County Council, will uphold the tradition of hosting a Burns Night Supper. The event will take place at The Parish Centre, 291 Shenley Road, Borehamwood, on Saturday, 25th January 2025, at 7:00 PM.
The evening will include all the cherished traditions of Burns Night, such as:
Toasts to the immortal memory of Robbie Burns,
A toast to the laddies, and
A toast to the lassies.
Our very own Piper, Rtn. George Carr (President Elect), will pipe in the haggis at the start of the evening and deliver the famous "Address to a Haggis." Following this, a sumptuous meal will be served, lovingly prepared by Rtn. Sasha Capocci, featuring haggis with "tatties and neeps" (potatoes and turnips).
The Master of Ceremonies for the evening will be Rtn. Nick Male.
