About this Event
If you’re a working professional, student, or caretaker, you probably know how tiring it can feel to juggle so much at once. The endless to-do lists, responsibilities, emotions, and even the challenge of finding true rest can all add up—often leaving us stressed, overwhelmed, or burned out.
This workshop is designed to support you in dedicating space for your own self-care and wellness using elements of creative art to help you prevent or ease burnout.
In this workshop, you will have the opportunity to reflect on your own experience with stress and burnout, learn how to recognize signs of burnout, and be guided through a simple therapeutic art activity. This practice will help you uncover the “weights of stress” in your life, while offering a creative tool to help restore a sense of balance.
First Part – Exploration of the Stress Cycle and Burnout
Second Part – A look at what “Creativity” is, research behind incorporating creative art to prevent/reduce burnout, and benefits of using creative art for stress.
Third Part – Participants will be guided through a simple art exercise designed to facilitate reflection on accumulated stress and to support the transformation of stress/worry/overwhelm into a constructive resource providing insight, resolution and purposeful direction, mitigating the risk of burnout.
Closing – Participants will have opportunity to share and debrief (voluntary)
