Burning Rope at Warrington Blues Club

Burning Rope are a band born from the ashes of multi award winning blues rock band Catfish. After the death of frontman Matt Long from cancer in October 2024, the other members of the band decided after a while that they wanted to continue to write, record and tour together. Their first album was released in October 2025 and went to no 1 in the IBBA blues charts. Their second album will be released in late May 2026 and establishes them firmly in a new genre very different from Catfish, a unique blend of blues, rock and prog.
Burning Rope were in the top five finalists in the UK Blues Awards as Emerging Artists of 2026, and their first album was nominated in the top 20 in the UK.
