🎉 Burnhope Partnership presents Burnhope Centenary Gala 1926–2026 🎉
Join us as we celebrate 100 years of Burnhope Gala with a fantastic day of community celebration on Saturday 16th May 2026.
This special centenary event marks the historic 1926 Durham Miners Gala held in Burnhope during the General Strike, and we are proud to honour our village’s mining heritage and strong community spirit.
There will be something for everyone to enjoy throughout the day, including:
🎺 A parade through the village
🎶 Live music and Entertainment
🛍 Market stalls and local vendors
🍔 Food and refreshments
🎤 Keynote talk on mining history and the General Strike
