About this Event
The Burn Nursing Symposium is an in-person educational event designed for nursing professionals involved in the care of patients with burn injuries. The symposium provides focused, evidence-based education that supports nursing practice across acute, rehabilitative, and long-term burn care settings.
Participants will engage in clinical learning and practical skill development covering key areas of burn nursing, including patient assessment, wound and graft care, nutrition, symptom management, infection and sepsis considerations, rehabilitation, and perioperative care. The program also includes hands-on learning to reinforce core nursing skills used in burn care.
Attendees will earn 5.5 education hours upon completion of the symposium.
The symposium is led by expert nursing faculty from The Warden Burn Center, Orlando Health, including Susan L. Smith, PhD, APRN, FNP-BC, Advanced Practice Burn Research and Clinical Practice Education Specialist and Senior Nurse Practitioner, and Sherrina Richards, DNP, RN, FNP-BC, Nurse Practitioner at The Warden Burn Center.
This event is ideal for nursing professionals seeking high-quality, in-person education, practical skill reinforcement, and exposure to current best practices in burn nursing care.
