About this Event
Explore reflections at Burlingame Point—glass, light, and layered surfaces that reward careful observation.
We’ll meet at the tables behind the Embassy Suites (150 Anza Blvd) and walk roughly 2.5–3 miles over 3–3.5 hours at a relaxed pace. Along the route, you’ll photograph office buildings with strong reflective surfaces, shifting perspectives, and layered foreground and background elements.
At the start of the walk, you’ll receive a printed Reflections Field Guide to help you recognize and work with different types of reflections.
You’ll get guidance throughout—what to notice, how to compose, and how to use reflections to build stronger images. This is about learning to see and translate what catches your eye into a photograph.
We’ll begin near the Embassy Suites, photographing nearby office buildings with interesting reflective surfaces, then continue to Burlingame Point, where stronger geometry, textures, and lines create more complex compositions. There’s an optional coffee stop along the way.
As we move through Burlingame Point, reflections become more varied—from subtle overlays to bold, graphic images. There are also opportunities for creative self-portraits using reflections.
Bring any camera or phone. Expect a thoughtful, unhurried experience focused on observation, experimentation, and building confidence.
