Many of the 19th-century gravestones on Burial Hill were carved by the Tribble shop of Plymouth. Examine the local craftsmanship of John Tribble and his apprentices during this walking tour guided by Dr. Donna Curtin, Executive Director of Pilgrim Hall Museum. Join tour group at the very top of the Hill for this one-hour tour.No reservations required for individuals and families. Involves potentially strenuous walking on steep hillside. The Burial Hill tour program was originally launched in 2011 by the Plymouth Antiquarian Society, in collaboration with Pilgrim Hall Museum. The two organizations began co-presenting the series in 2016. In 2024 themed history tours will be offered at the ancient burying ground at 1 pm on the first Saturday of each month from February through December. This popular series features local historians who share their expertise on a fascinating range of topics, highlighting art, history, and culture in the open-air museum at the heart of downtown Plymouth.
