On Friday, April 11, 2025 we are hosting a “Burger Bash for Bo” fundraiser.Bo is four this year and has an opportunity to attend an intensive physical therapy program in Calgary, Alberta. The program is geared towards children like Bo, with Cerebral Palsy. The therapy not only increases his chance at mobility but will help strengthen his core which goes a long way towards improving his overall, long-term health. He attended this program for a week last fall and the results were astonishing. It's been recommended for him to attend in two week periods in the future so they can send him home with a plan for his therapy in between his visits at the clinic. Bo is the happiest little guy and he deserves every opportunity that comes his way.
The approximate cost of this one year of travel and therapy is $28,000. We want to ensure that our Bobo has all of the opportunities to live a long, healthy and happy life.
Why are we fundraising?
Many of you know that the costs associated with having a child with a disability are astronomical. There’s a common misconception that the government and our medical system covers these costs. It does not. While there is some assistance out there, most of the costs are expected to be covered by the individuals’ family.
Some of the upcoming expenses the Plamondons are facing in the next two years are:
Private Local Physiotherapy: $140 per 45 minute session.
(Steph and Clays extended health benefits cover $1000 annually combined. This covers about 7 visits- just under 2 months of therapy. The rest of the cost must be covered by the family)
Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle: $80,000.00
Eye Gaze Communication Device: $9000.00
(Bo cannot speak or use his hands in a meaningful manner. They “Eye Gaze” is an amazing device that is calibrated with his sight and will be how he communicates with the world.
Home Modifications: Over $100,000.00
(Significant renovations need to be made to Bo’s home to accommodate his future needs. This will include the installation of lifts to transport him safely, a bathroom space that suits his needs, ramps in the home and the creation of a fully accessible bedroom on the main floor of their home)
If we can offset the cost of this intensive therapy program for Bo it will help ease some of the financial stress for the Plamondons and allow them to access some of the other equipment that Bo needs. If we can help get Bo to Calgary for this program we are making a direct investment in his future health.
The Burger, Beer, Dance and Auction are being hosted by the family and friends of the Plamondons. Tickets are $50 each and 100 percent of the profits will go directly to covering the cost of Bo’s therapy and equipment.

The cost of the hall rental, ticket printing and Dj services are being covered by friends and family of Steph and Clay. The major expenses for the event will be the food and printed materials. There will be a cash bar on site run by the Eagles Club. They keep the bar proceeds which are used for many great things in our community so please support their bar heartily. No outside alcohol is permitted in the hall.
On behalf of Bo's circle of people- thank you for not only supporting our event but also celebrating our sweet Bo and all of the opportunities ahead of him.
