Session two: March 11, 2027, 6:30-8pm
Workshop Description:
Buoy and Anchor is a two part workshop series that examines what buoys our creative process, and what anchors us to our values, as well as inhibits us from our full potential. This workshop features components of meditation, breathwork, and somatic exploration as an integral part of the creative process. Participants will be led in a guided meditation through the body, engaging in deep listening with the self. Participants will be led to write what their body reveals to them. After a brief intermission, participants will be led in a group guided read along of varied works from revolutionary thought leaders. From there, we will examine, how does it feel to be a body of an individual, as well as a participant in the collective? Where does resilience lie in our bodies? How is resilience fostered in community with one another? Through somatics, explorative writing, and discussion, we hope to shed light on these questions in our time together.
