Bunnell Arts by Air presents Shake City String Band at Bunnell and broadcast live on KBBI AM 890 Friday, March 21, 2025 at 7pm. Join our live studio audience! In-person audiences must be seated at 6:45pm.

The Shake City String Band is a folk band based in Anchorage, Alaska specializing in symphonic folk fusion. Their journey began with a shared passion for music and desire to create something unique. Committed to providing an unforgettable experience that celebrates the rich history and diversity of folk music, they bend and blend genres, both with reimagined arrangements and group-written originals.
Beginning as a Covid-relief program in 2020 to support musicians and community at a time when concerts and gatherings were not possible, Bunnell Arts by Air features Alaska and visiting musicians, and is partially funded by the Alaska State Council on the Arts Community Arts Development grant and a TourWest grant from Western States Arts Federation.
