Why is this significant?
This is the week long event where we work with our partner Lowes, Ashley furniture, and Jockey; and every chapter builds beds at the same time. This year’s Bunks Across America takes place during the week of September 5-12, 2026, and we’re setting our most ambitious goals yet:
Build over 12,000 beds
Engage 15,000 volunteers
Unite 250+ SHP chapters across the United States
Our chapter will be building at the Westland Lowes at 6555 N Newburgh Rd in Westland, MI from 8:30 am until noon. It’s a fun event, and it’s rewarding to everyone who shows up, as well as the children who recieve beds because of it. We will be making 50 beds at this event.
Please mark your calendars and show up! You don’t have to bring tools or talent, you just have to be willing to change the lives of children in our town, and maybe change your own life as well.
