Fun trail run with the Hubers - Meeting at the Chevron in Mesquite. Trail is easy dirt road with no serious obstacles. Rated 3.The Bunkerville Choo Choo trail runs along the Virgin Mountain foothills. As you travel along the washes and mountain ridges, be on the lookout for cattle, as this is free range land. Along the way you will pass the remains of the Key West Mine and the Great Eastern Mine. You will also pass through a narrow canyon called the Seeps. Don't forget to stop and see Keyhole Rock, a natural arch in the granite rock. Finally, the trails namesake is a rail car that was hauled up into the hills to serve as a water tender for grazing cattle. Bring lots of water and food...it will be a long day.
