The parade celebrates the June battle taking place on Breeds Hill in 1775. The event is a long 2.5 mile route that takes you through some of Charlestown’s most historic streets. Music, Muskets, Color Guard or Distaff, you won’t want to miss this exciting opportunity.
Parking:Parking is on-street located near the start/end of the route. Allow plenty of time to get tthere. Sometimes roads are closed for road races both before and after the time noted. Spaces are easy to locate on Tufts Street, Medford Street, Lowney Way, etc. Please be sure to observe all street signs.
Meetup and Route Information: Units will form up at the delta of Vine Street and Lowney Way (opposite Tufts and Bunker Hill Street). Restrooms can be found at the Charlestown Navy Yard. The parade kicks off promptly at 12:30PM with the National Anthem and a ceremonial volley. The route is a winding up and down path that is often packed with lots of crowds and little shade. We suggest bringing plenty of water keep cool.
