Join us for a one night only original music special as some of the Bundaberg Region's most popular singer-songwriters gather on stage at the Moncrieff to present an evening of truly original songs.Artists performing will be Abigail Williams, Vette English, Lachlan Grant, Pete O'Brien, The Purple Hills, Marah Leigh and Mark Lavender.
We hope you will come along and support some truly original home grown talent!
Hosted by Vic Clarke from radio station 4BU's The Big Breakfast, this will definitely be a night to remember.

ARTIST BIOS
Abigail Williams is a uniquely talented Australian Teenage Pop Singer/Songwriter. She is based in her beautiful hometown of Bundaberg QLD. Abigail writes from the heart. Music is her expression of life's experiences. Her voice and songs have been described as hauntingly beautiful and full of emotion. Abigail has been featured many times on Radio and is in the process of recording her original music for release. She has been performing publicly since she was 9 years old and has gone onto working gigs as a a solo act, singing and playing guitar at various venues, functions and festivals around Bundaberg and the Wide Bay Region.
Vette is locally homegrown talent. Learning her craft with influence from Jo Carr Singing Lessions and Cameron McDonald from Bandwagon Music Lessons for guitar. Vette's inspiration was initially from her Poppy who gave her talent to following amazing artists such as Abby Skye, Brooke Schubert and Hannah McFarland. She also draws guidance from her family, and the love that surrounds her! She loves Zach Bryan and writing from the heart. Country, Rock, Pop, Alternative and the Oldies, Vette will offer it all. A powerhouse with a unique tone she will draw you in and leave you longing for more.
Lachlan, whose globe trekking travels serve as an inspiration for his music and experiences for the storytelling nature of his lyric style. Over the past few years this singer-songwriter, who hails from New Zealand, has been honing his writing craft and developing an indelible singing technique and performance style that's as individual as it is relatable. Lachlan's songs deal with introspection, inspiration and the awakening of one's higher consciousness. Taking cues from folk and roots rock and drawing further inspiration from a mix of artists including Neil Young and Billy Bragg, Lachlan's personal experiences are utilised to reflect on the universal; the journey of self-discovery every one of us makes in life at one point or another.
Pete O'Brien had a lot of local success with the song he wrote for the Floods in Bundaberg called 'We All Live in the Same Town'. This went on to become a song for the Guinness World Records for most people sining over a radio broadcast for A.B.C. Radio. Since then, he now has 4 albums released available on all online platforms and his website www.peteobrienmusic.com . Pete has been signed to American Record Label '9 Lives Records' in Kentucky. He has had a number of top 10 songs on Country Radio Charts, and music playing on Radio in Southern States here in Australia and the U.S.A.
The Purple Hills is the creative outlet of New Zealand born musician Bevan Spiers. Passionately performing with a soulful, Blues and Rock influence, Bevan's talent is undeniable. Switching between Electric, Acoustic and Lap Slide guitars. The Purple Hills often play as a two-piece act - with Bevan (Vocals and Guitar) and Aiden Marcon on the Drums - yet they manage to create a powerfully full sound. In 2003, Bevan moved to Australia making Bundaberg Queensland his home. He has now spent well over 15 years playing shows all over the Australian East Coast.
Marah Leigh is a Bundaberg born and bred singer-songwriter who started her songwriting career at the shy age of 11. Her powerhouse voice is a beautifully balanced blend of soul and Indie pop with a raw edge. Her original music tantalises its listeners' ears with unique melodies and emotive lyrices from the roads of heartbreak to self-discovery.
Mark Lavender is an Australian singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who is capturing the nation's attention through his energetic and entertaining versatility with a vast range of musical genre and songs about real life and real people. Mark's credibility and lovable nature finds him wearing many hats in a growing country music demographic. The fans quote "Australia's answer to Luke Combes" has helped build a recognisable passion and similarity of the strong country roots in Mark's songs and on stage performances that appeal to vast country music fans. Lavender's ability to entertain and reach an audience is found not only in his songs, but in his mannerisms and connectedness in his performances. Embraced whole-heartedly by Country Music, Mark's healthy succession of song writing and performing was declared through charting in the iTunes Country Music Charts Australia.
