Bumble Bee Watch - Claremont Nature Centre
About this Event
Join us at the Claremont Nature Centre on Saturday July 4th to be trained in how to safely catch-and-release bumble bees and ID various species, while learning about all things-bee! The purpose of this event is to give you the skills and knowledge needed to effectively submit data as research for Bumble Bee Watch. While this event is open to anyone wanting to be trained and learn more about Bumble bees, we are primarily looking for those who are willing to return and further assist with collecting data for the summer of 2026.
This event is for all ages. We will begin with an educational lesson and conclude with hands-on surveying. Children are welcome to participate and are encouraged to attend the lesson with the support of a parent or guardian. For everyone's safety, children should be closely supervised during activities involving the safe handling of bumble bees.
The first 30 participants will be officially registered for this event. If you can no longer make it at any point OR would like to be placed on a waitlist to join, please contact Abby at [email protected].
