What is a Challenge Event?This type of event is a lapped or looped course. You get lots of friendly support from others on the course when you pass each other, you should never feel lonely at these type of events! We have a 7 hour cut off, you can use the time to go out and achieve a 5k either running or walking or keep going and achieve a distance goal you have.
The Railway line route is a 5.3k lap so 4 laps is a Half Marathon, 8 laps is Full Marathon 9 or more is an Ultra.
We would like to invite you to come and run/walk with us.
Absolutely all abilities of runners / walkers can take part in our events each lap is 5.3k out and back, of our scenic route on an old disused train line. This event will have a 7 hour cut off for you to enjoy as many laps as you would like. 1 lap is 5.3k so 4 laps will give you a half marathon, 8 laps will give you full marathon distance, 9 or more laps for an Ultra. Everyone is welcome whether you are planning to walk or run, whether you finish 1 lap, 4 laps or even 14 laps (most on this course currently!) in the permitted time, we would class you as finisher and a winner, and you can collect your Medal for the event.
You will also receive a small goody bag.
