BUILT TO SURVIVE!
Over millions of years, animals have adapted to survive their ever-changing environments. Camouflage and armored shells are just a couple examples. Get up close with our animal ambassadors and learn about their own special adaptations.
This program does not include an outdoor activity.

Meet in the nature center about five minutes before the program start time.

What to Bring
Bring your own drinking water. Potable water is not available at this location. Depending on the season, you may wish to bring insect repellent and sunscreen or sunhat.
Pets
Pets are not allowed in the nature center nor on Oak Trail. Pets are welcome outside and on Hickory Trail. They must be under control at all times and on a leash no longer than 6’. For the health and safety of all, pick up and properly dispose of pets’ waste. | Sometimes we ask that pets are not brought to a program. That is usually determined by the nature of the activity, presentation, hike, and/or safety issues.
