Built to Run: Girls Running Program (Rocky Mountain Soap, Canmore Store)

During this FREE 6-week program, Built to Run participants will learn running skills, engage in fun team building activities, and mental skills curriculum that will teach them important topics such as goal setting and mindfulness. Open to all skill levels of running/jogging/walking - no previous experience necessary.

Built to Run will be led by Girls Forward REAL Role Models, women ages 21+ that are Relatable, Empowered, Active Leaders in the community who are passionate about inspiring girls in sport and physical activity and creating safe, welcoming, inclusive spaces!

• Drop-off and pick-up at Rocky Mountain Soap Company, Canmore Store (820 8th St #103B)
• They will be running OUTDOORS in a nearby park (Veterans Park and trails - SEE MAP BELOW). Sessions will continue rain or shine, unless there is thunder/lightening. In case of cancellations, you will be informed via email.
• There is a second program in Canmore (at Canmore Nordic Centre), please do NOT register for both locations.

• Tuesdays
• April 14, 21, 28, May 5, 12, 19 (6 sessions total)

• 5:20-6:30pm
• Please arrive ON TIME (5:20pm) outside the Rocky Storefront - we cannot guarantee we'll wait as we need to stay on schedule, so be on time, thanks!
• Please arrive for pick-up no later than 6:30pm outside the Rocky storefront

• Comfortable/athletic clothing they can run in
• Check weather and temperature to dress appropriately
• Close-toed shoes (eg. running shoes) (NO SANDALS, CROCS)
• Water bottle

• The Built to Run program is meant to prepare participants to run in our annual Girls Run event at the Canmore Nordic Centre and celebrate with other girls from all over Alberta!
• Girls Run for Built to Run participants is on Saturday May 23rd, 7:30am-9:30am
• Choice of running 1km or 2.5km
• What's included if you choose to attend Girls Run: A free ticket, a Girls Forward shirt, swag bag, and lots of fun!

Spots are limited, tickets are first come first serve.
