Calling all girls ages 8-14! Thanks to a Game.Set.Equity. grant from Tennis Canada Girls Forward Foundation is partnering with the St James Tennsi Club to deliver a free, one-day learn to play tennis event for girls in Ottawa this September!

Built to Play Tennis was crafted to empower girls to experience beginner-friendly tennis instruction, body image and confidence-building activities, and community connection experiences led by women coaches, allies, and Girls Forward REAL Role Models. Our hope is that by the end of the day, we will have more girls interested in continuing to participate in regular tennis programming!

Event Details

• Who: Girls ages 8-14
• When: Saturday September 26th, 2026 (Rain Day = Sun Sept 27th)
• Time: 9:30AM - 2:30PM
• Where: St James Tennis Club, 183 Third Ave, Ottawa, ON K1S 2K2
• Cost: Free!
• Group Size: Max 50 participants (25 8-11 YOs and 25 12-14 YOs)
